Lockheed Martin Awards Alva Industries $1.85 Million Contract

Alva Industries (Alva), a frameless motor manufacturer and the owner and developer of FiberPrintingTM technology, announced today that it has inked a $1,850,000 contract to develop new technologies for the aviation and defense industries with Lockheed Martin, a global defense technology company that promotes innovation and cutting-edge scientific discovery.

Alva’s extensive knowledge of motors and electric propulsion will be used in this collaboration to create specialized capabilities for small unmanned aerial vehicles (sUAVs). Through property optimization, the technologies will enhance UAV flight performance. that the end user can switch out for various tasks, such reducing noise for procedures when discretion is crucial or optimizing system performance for increased durability.

With the possibility of further cooperation on upcoming projects, the initial project will last for 24 months and will strengthen the close ties between the Norwegian and American defense sectors.
