Launching EV INNOVATE-A-THON: An Initiative to Spark Innovation

Open to engineering students across select institutes in India

 Three levels: preliminary online quiz, digital prototype, physical prototype creation and sales presentation round

Winning team will receive an opportunity to visit BYD headquarters in Shenzhen for a week, engage in a session with the BYD R&D expert team, and receive a monetary reward to help realize their sustainable technology dreams

New Delhi, India: The world’s top producer of new energy vehicles (NEVs), BYD India, has announced the start of the BYD EV INNOVATE-A-THON, an initiative to promote excellence, sustainability, and innovation among engineering students in India. This effort, which is being carried out in partnership with the Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC), is to improve skills and encourage innovation, teamwork, and creativity in the field of electric vehicles. More than just an initiative, the BYD EV INNOVATEATHON serves as a catalyst for advancement and innovation in the field of electric vehicles.

As the world’s top manufacturer of NEVs, BYD is motivated to work with students to realize their aspirations of becoming electric vehicle owners and to create a more promising future. BYD is aware of the enormous potential that student inventions have to influence the direction of sustainable transportation in the future. Through encouraging young people to think outside the box and think creatively, BYD hopes to unearth innovative solutions that will change the EV industry and propel a greener future. Three rounds will comprise the initiative, which is open to engineering students from specific institutes in India. These stages include an online preliminary quiz, a digital prototype round, and a physical prototype construction and sales presentation round.

A preliminary online quiz, a digital prototype round, and a physical prototype construction and sales presentation round will comprise the three stages of this program, which is open to engineering students from selected institutes across India. The first-place team will get to meet the technology and sustainability specialists at BYD headquarters in Shenzhen for a week. The top three winning teams will also get interesting gifts. In addition to trophies, the teams that place third and second will also get financial rewards.
