V Mart Retail, lndia’s leading value fashion retailer, posted 16 per cent revenue growth to ₹16,620.2 million in fiscal 2020 ended on March 31, 2020 compared to ₹14,337.4 million in previous fiscal year. Company reported net profit for the year of ₹493 million (FY19: ₹616 million). Gross profit for the year were ₹5,367 million (FY19: ₹4,635 million).
However, revenue for fourth quarter (Q4) FY20 declined 3 per cent to ₹3,326.6 million (Q4 FY19: ₹5,621 million). Net loss for the quarter were ₹84 millions compared to net income of ₹58 million in same period prior year.
Fashion segment contributed 93 per cent to the total revenue during the year while Kirana contributed 7 per cent to the revenue.
V Mart’s number of stores increased to 266 with 55 new stores added during FY20.
