Tesco’s clothing sales are on the rise

Tesco Plc, a British retailer, observed an increase in clothing sales following the reopening of non-essential locations in the UK. In the quarter ending May 29, 2021, the retailer’s like-for-like clothing sales in the UK increased by 52.1 percent. Tesco’s total like-for-like sales increased by 1.3% to £12.42 billion in comparison to the same period last year.
However, as compared to the first quarter of 2019, the increase was 8.7 percent.
Tesco’s Chief Executive Officer, Ken Murphy, expressed delight at the company’s outstanding first-quarter performance and stated that their earnings projection since April 2021 has not altered. It was established in 1919.
