The Garment Manufacturers Association of Cambodia (GMAC) has welcomed three major investments into the industry following the approval of three new garment projects by Cambodia’s Council for Development (CDC) yesterday. A total of $14.9 million is set aside for the initiatives, which are expected to create 3,200 new employment.
The new projects, according to GMAC secretary-general Ken Loo, are welcome since they would assist in reinforcing the Kingdom’s core sector, especially following the interruption created by the pandemic.
