During the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Readymade Garments Export Council of Egypt (RMGEC) has been striving to increase exports by lowering prices and bearing some of the losses. The key goal was to maintain Egypt’s status as a global exporter of ready-made clothing and to demonstrate the factories’ ability to weather the storm. This, in turn, would demonstrate the sector’s viability and maintain the volume of sales.
The Egyptian Council for Industrialization and Entrepreneurship has announced intentions to promote the export of more Egyptian goods using cutting-edge marketing techniques. This is in keeping with the unique circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as global trends that have demonstrated the relevance of e-marketing.Several virtual meetings were held between exporters in the sector and international customers from Jordan and Saudi Arabia to discuss potential for Egyptian items to be exported.
