At Birla Cellulose, we are driven by a singular mission: to create lasting, positive change for our planet and its people. Through relentless innovation and a steadfast commitment to sustainability, we aim to transform the textile industry by championing circularity and responsible fashion across the value chain.

Collaboration is at the heart of true progress. This belief underpins our partnership with Usha Yarns, a company equally dedicated to advancing a circular economy. Together, we have developed Puneh, an extraordinary line of mechanically recycled yarns that combine purpose and innovation. Leveraging eco-forward fibers such as Liva Reviva and Birla Spun Shades, Puneh represents a significant step toward a more sustainable textile future.

Puneh introduces two revolutionary yarn blends that redefine sustainability in textiles. Puneh Signature combines 60% mechanically recycled Usha cotton and 40% Liva Reviva, achieving an impressive 72% recycled content while maintaining durability. Meanwhile, Puneh Iconic blends 60% mechanically recycled Usha cotton with 40% Birla Spun Shades, integrating color and circularity in an all-cellulosic, environmentally responsible option. These blends set new benchmarks for sustainable yarns, showcasing how innovation can align with ecological responsibility.

Our journey doesn’t stop with the creation of yarns. The next chapter unfolds with our value chain partner, Technocraft Industries (India) Limited, a vertically integrated textile manufacturer renowned for its expertise in producing high-quality yarns, fabrics, and garments. Using Puneh yarn, Technocraft Industries has developed a comprehensive line of knit fabrics that prioritize both performance and sustainability. By integrating advanced technology and circular design principles, they have elevated the potential of Puneh yarn to create fabrics that align with the vision of a closed-loop textile system.

These fabrics, crafted from Puneh’s fully cellulosic blends, are now being presented to global brands, encouraging them to embrace a more eco-conscious approach to fashion. Technocraft’s efforts, combined with ours, aim to make sustainable fashion the industry standard rather than the exception. By collaborating across the value chain, we are transforming consumer mindsets and paving the way for a more responsible future in fashion.

Every product created with Puneh yarns is a step closer to a world where sustainability is integral to fashion. These innovations inspire consumers to make choices that respect people and the planet, reinforcing the importance of collective action.
