The EcoVadis Gold Rating for sustainability has been awarded to Michelman, which is happy to announce. Of more than 100,000 organisations examined across more than 200 industries and 175 countries, Michelman is ranked in the top 96th percentile.

According to the company’s website, EcoVadis was established in 2007 and has since expanded to become “the world’s largest and most trusted provider of corporate sustainability ratings.” The EcoVadis sustainability assessment measures a company’s performance in integrating corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability principles across four key areas: the environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. From the company’s founding in 1949, Michelman developments have been centred on the creation of water-based products and eco-friendly technologies. Obtaining the esteemed EvoVadis Gold Rating Chuck Hardy, Michelman’s director of global sustainability and R&D systems, called the achievement “a tribute to our basic principles and our associates’ passion to helping clients achieve their own sustainability ambitions. “EcoVadis’ evaluation procedure goes much beyond simple environmental responsibility. For instance, they rate candidates according to the EH&S practises that safeguard a company’s employees. In order to confirm that the application and its partners are paying fair salaries, they also assess the HR and procurement systems. We’re honoured to have placed so well in the process, which analyses social responsibility in great detail.

Dr. Rick Michelman, president and CEO of Michelman, continued, “This accomplishment illustrates our focus on Innovating a Sustainable Future.” “We are dedicated to helping the planet remain sustainable. To achieve that, we consistently assess and reduce the environmental impact of our buildings by managing water, energy, and waste, as well as by developing and introducing environmentally friendly products to the market. We just hired Dr. Portia Yarborough to be our Chief Science and Sustainability Officer (CSSO), and together with our customers and value chain partners, we will aim to push the boundaries of sustainability.
