Textiles Conservation Training Program

Tata Trusts is happy to announce an intensive 4-month Training Course in Conservation of Textiles, being held at Mehrangarh Museum Trust (MMT), Jodhpur, supported by Tata Trusts under its Art Conservation Initiative. Applications are invited from practicing art conservators, who are looking to specialise in and build a career in textiles conservation.

The course is designed as a hands-on practical course, comprising 3-months training at MMT, Jodhpur, followed by a one-month internship, allowing the graduating conservators to develop critical faculties and skills in the conservation of textiles. The course is being led by senior textiles conservator Deepshikha Kalsi.

Duration: 30th January – 21st April 2023 (followed by a one-month internship)

Venue: Mehrangarh Museum Trust, Jodhpur, Rajasthan

Fee: There is no fee for this course

Travel and Accommodation: Participants are requested to kindly make their own travel, boarding and lodging arrangements. A modest merit-cum-means stipend will be offered to selected outstation candidates.
