India’s integrated textiles sector is the second-largest in the world, so there is a big chance for it to improve its circular capabilities. By concentrating on the sector, we can improve the textile waste value chain in India and create more jobs while reducing pollution caused by textile waste.
The government’s Ministry of Textiles intends to conduct an evaluation of the current capabilities of the textile waste processing industry before beginning a broad mandate. In order to determine how to advance technology in the business, the Textiles Ministry will also evaluate whether the sector complies with worldwide standards.
