In partnership with Circ, a US-based fashion technology business that specializes in textile recycling, Zara has revealed its newest women’s collection. The collection features clothing produced from 50% recycled textile waste called Circ Lyocell, which mimics the opulent feel of silk.

Four simple pieces from the current collection are created entirely of 100% Circ Lyocell. These clothes, which were created by the Zara team, have a simple, organic look that shows how Circ’s eco-friendly materials can be easily incorporated into classic fashion styles. The collection will go on sale in the US and a few other markets on August 15.

Previously a significant barrier to recycling textile waste into new fibers, the problem of breaking down “polycotton” mixes is addressed by Circ’s cutting-edge recycling technology. Circ is leading the way in a new paradigm for circular fashion as the only commercially available system that effectively separates polycotton blends and recovers both cellulosic and synthetic fibers.

The continued collaboration between Zara and Circ, which started in 2023 with an Inditex investment, highlights how crucial it is for the fashion sector to scale sustainable solutions. The CEO of Circ, Peter Majeranowski, stated, “For us, success is when circularity is the default, with no compromise on quality or design.” “This collection with Zara highlights the quality of Circ’s products and the long-term potential for both businesses to advance product circularity throughout the industry.”
