Optitex®, a global provider of integrated end-to-end 2D & 3D CAD/CAM software solutions for the fashion & apparel, automotive, and upholstery industries, has joined forces with VIZOO, a provider of the xTex U3M-compatible 3D fabric scanner, and swatchbook inc, a cloud-based digital materials platform.
Optitex O/21 features a plethora of freshly digitised textiles from VIZOO and swatchbook (available via PDS 3D SamplePack), ranging from suede, rib, knit, heather, and corduroy to specialty materials like zipper backing, dry fit, birds eye mesh, leather snake, and laces. Partnerships with both providers will give Optitex clients access to and enjoyment of a wide range of scanned materials, as well as the ability to build more realistic 3D clothing to share with their buyers and marketing channels.
Optitex has expanded its collaboration with market leaders VIZOO and swatchbook, providing them with access to a diverse range of digital textiles in their virtual design prototypes. This is a key component of Optitex’s recent and future improvements to its rendering infrastructure. “We have seen tremendous demand from worldwide retailers and brands for premium-quality digitised textiles,” said Martin Semsch, creator and CEO of VIZOO.
