MOSCOW ( MRC ) – China’s Shaoxing Reignwood Petrochemical, part of the Reignwood Group, temporarily discontinued production at its terephthalic acid (TPA) plant in Shaoxing, China on March 6 to carry out planned preventive measures, Polymerupdate reported .
It is expected that repair work at this enterprise with a total capacity of 1.4 million tons per year of two lines will continue for one month.
Earlier it was noted that last year the company carried out scheduled maintenance at this plant from September 16 to 22, and the load was reduced to 50% during maintenance.
In addition, Shaoxing Reignwood coveredTPA plant in Shaoxing for an unscheduled 2-3-day repair due to the discovery of a technical problem from December 7, 2020.
TPA is one of the main raw materials for the production of polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
