The South India Garment Association (SIGA) is set to host its 29th national-level garment fair from July 30 to August 1 at the Princess Shrine in Palace Grounds. The three-day event will showcase over 150 brands and is expected to attract thousands of retailers and wholesale traders.

Garment manufacturers from across India, including Mumbai, Surat, Delhi, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Ludhiana, and Nagpur, will be participating in the fair. The focus will be on showcasing the latest wedding, festival, and winter collections.

SIGA president Anurag Singhla stated that they anticipate over 2,500 trade visitors and aim to generate business exceeding Rs 100 crore. He further mentioned that the previous fair had facilitated business worth Rs 120 crore.

However, Singhla noted that the garment industry, particularly small and medium-sized players, is facing stiff competition from multinational companies. This has led to the closure of many retail shops, resulting in a more conservative business target for this year’s fair.

The SIGA garment fair is a B2B event, providing a platform for manufacturers to connect with retailers and wholesalers.
