SGCCI and ICIB signed an MoU Under “Mission 84” for exchange of business ideas

The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry(SGCCI) and the Indian Chamber of International Business(ICIB) have signed a memorandum of understanding(MoU) under the “SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84” to provide a platform for international trade and exports to the entrepreneurs of South Gujarat.

SGCCI will enter its 84th year on October 21, 2023. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will launched an online portal under Mission 84. On this occasion, in his presence, a program will be organized where industrialists of South Gujarat will take a pledge to export Rs 50,000 crore.

On behalf of Manprit Singh Negi(President-ICIB), his representative Jamanbhai Patel and SGCCI president Ramesh Vaghasia has signed an MoU at Surat on 25th September, 2003.

Mr. Ramesh Vaghasia said, under the Mission 84 project, efforts are being made to onboard 84,000 businessmen of Gujarat region including Surat and 84,000 trade entities of Indian origin living in different countries on the online platform. Similarly, 84 Chambers of Commerce of the country and 84 Chambers of Commerce operating in other countries are also being onboarded under this mission. As a part of this, SGCCI has signed an MoU with the ICIB which works for trade and industry in various countries.

Under this MoU, nine issues have been covered. The ICIB will provide a platform to the entrepreneurs of South Gujarat to export their products to other countries. In addition, they will provide information on global markets for exports as well as statistics and data for trade. Information about investment opportunities in other industries will also be provided. Moreover, to enter the global market and the entrepreneurs can get the latest technology and market knowledge, they will be invited to trade fairs and exhibitions held in other countries.
