Bhilwara, December 28. The 53rd Annual General Meeting and Annual Elections of Executive Committee and Office Bearers of Mewar Chamber of Commerce and Industry were held today. In the first meeting of the Executive Committee after the General Assembly, DP Mangal, Chairman of Lagnam Spintex Limited, was unanimously elected as the Chairman for the year 2024-25. A Chartered Accountant, DP Mangal has more than 35 years of experience in textiles, international business.
R K Jain was elected as the Honorary General Secretary for the 8th consecutive year. R.K. Jain is a CS and Corporate Consultant and is associated with many social organizations.
Dr. R.C. Lodha, former Executive Director, Central Bank of India, was elected as Senior Vice President, Kishore Kumar S of Hindustan Zinc, Yogesh Laddha of Manomaya Tex India, Anurag Soni of Sangam India Limited were elected as Vice Presidents. Nirmal Jain was elected as Joint Secretary and S K Surana as Treasurer.
Earlier, Honorary General Secretary RK Jain said that MoUs worth about Rs 10,000 crore have been signed for Bhilwara under Rising Rajasthan. There is a problem of conversion of industrial land for industries. Because there are only 2 lakh square meters of rights at the district level, and it is taking a lot of time at the state level. The Chamber will endeavour to resolve the problem so that the MoU becomes a reality.
