The President of the BGMEA requests that the AAFA promote Bangladesh’s business interests in the US market

BGMEA President Faruque Hassan and Vice President Miran Ali met with Stephen Lamar, President and CEO of The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA).
The meeting was also attended by high-ranking officials from AAFA and other organisations.
They discussed a variety of topics, including ways to strengthen cooperation between BGMEA and AAFA in order to expand mutual business involvement and explore new areas of partnership.
Bangladesh’s garment industry has been ranked second in the world for “Ethical Manufacturing”, according to a recent report by supply chain compliance solutions provider, QIMA. BGMEA President Faruque Hassan urged US brands and buyers to collaborate with their suppliers to build their capacities in manufacturing those apparel items which have demand in the US market.
