Tamilnadu, on Monday signed 18 fresh MOUs with a cross section of investors for investment aggregating Rs19,955/crores. The MOUs were signed at the Growth and Investment conclave-2020 presided over by the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniawami.
The MOUs signed include Ola Electric Mobility’s electric scooter Manufacturering facility, considered to be the world’s largest in Hosur with an investment of Rs 2354 crore, Foxconn’s mega Industrial housing project at Sipcot Vallam Vadagal, First Solar’s Solar Module manufacturering facility with an investment of Rs 4185/ crores and Voltas manufacturering plant at Kanchipuram, near Chennai with Rs.1001/crore investment.
Further, Crown group will establish an Aerospace cluster park for manufacturing flight components &sub systems in Salem dst with an investment of Rs.2500/ crore and the US based Mylan Laboratories will establish an injection mfg. project in Krishnagiri with an investment of Rs.350/crore. Gurit India Pvt Ltd will establish a project for manufacturing wind blade components at Sriperumbudur near Chennai with an investment of Rs.320/crore.
