David Roberts, chief executive officer (CEO) of speciality yarn manufacturer Cap Yarns, was recently elected the new chairman of the US National Council of Textile Organisations (NCTO). He succeeds Leib Oehmig, CEO of Glen Raven Inc. David Poston, president of speciality synthetic fibre producer Palmetto Synthetics, was elected the new vice chairman.
The National Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO) is the voice of the U.S. textile industry representing the entire spectrum of the textile industry. Its mission is to create powerful national and international alliances to advance the interests of the U.S. textile sector. The NCTO is made up of four separate councils: fiber, yarn, fabric and supplier industries.
NCTO president and CEO Kim Glas recently announced its new officers, council chairs and board and executive committee members for the 2020 fiscal, according to a press release from the trade body.
NCTO comprises four council—Fibre Council, Yarn Council, Fabric and Home Furnishings Council and Industry Support Council—to ensure a broad representation of the industry supply chain.
