CyberPeace & InMobi Join Forces to Drive Digital Literacy Cybersecurity

In 2023, 79 million Cyber Attacks were recorded in India and ranked as the third-largest country globally for phishing attacks

New Delhi, October 3rd: To commemorate the start of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, CyberPeace Council and InMobi today announced a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting safer digital practices and equipping individuals with critical cyber skills. This is a trailblazing move to support cybersecurity and digital literacy across cohorts in India. InMobi’s global leadership in technology and innovation is combined with CyberPeace’s expertise in cybersecurity and digital safety through this cooperation, which is a part of the InMobi and Glance for Good projects.

The InMobi for Good and Glance for Good programs, which specifically leverage the InMobi ecosystem and the Glance lock screen content platform to generate positive social impact across stakeholder groups, notably the kids, would benefit greatly from this partnership. Through bite-sized, powerful content, the campaign seeks to directly engage millions of smartphone users while boosting digital literacy, online safety, and cybersecurity awareness. This project will involve communities in underserved areas, promote responsible digital practices, and create a safer, better-informed digital society by utilizing Glance’s dynamic and immersive user experience.

InMobi’s Global SVP of Chief Corporate Affairs and Public Policy, Dr. Subi Chaturvedi, stated: “As a pioneer in technology, we understand that it is our duty to support the security and safety of the digital ecosystem. Through our collaboration with CyberPeace, we can effectively utilize our resources and knowledge to promote significant improvements in cybersecurity awareness, skill development, and digital literacy while also fostering integrity and trust. With our vast reach, we hope to reach millions of users nationwide for a fully connected and empowered Digital India, even if our main focus is on enhancing the capacities of young people and small and medium-sized enterprises.”

The partnership between CyberPeace and InMobi will deliver several high-impact initiatives including digital literacy and awareness campaigns, capacity building and upskilling/reskilling, volunteer programs, netizen engagement and cyber safety programs, research and innovation lab for cybersecurity and employee engagement.

Speaking about the MoU, Major Vineet Kumar, Director, CyberPeace Council, said, “In an increasingly digital world, empowering citizens with the knowledge and tools to protect themselves online is critical. This collaboration with InMobi marks an important step toward creating a more secure digital environment for everyone, particularly those who are most vulnerable.”

Cybersecurity awareness has become one of the most important aspects of capacity building going forward.
