Heimtextil 2025 Sees Visitor Growth, Highlights Future Trends

Frankfurt am Main, 17 January 2025 – Heimtextil 2025 concluded with full exhibition halls, showcasing over 3,000 exhibitors from 142 countries, and a notable increase in both exhibitors and visitors. Over the four-day event, more than 50,000 buyers explored the latest collections, materials, and textile solutions for interior design. Among the highlights were the Heimtextil Trends 25/26 by Alcova Milano and Patricia Urquiola’s innovative ‘among-us’ installation, which set new standards for the textile, retail, and hospitality sectors.

Global Demand for Trade Fairs Heimtextil’s growth in both exhibitors and visitors highlighted the increased demand for trade fairs, particularly in times of inflation and low purchasing power. With resilience at its core, Heimtextil helped the industry access new markets and shape global competition. International participation reached 96% among exhibitors and 84% among visitors, with significant growth from regions like Argentina, France, India, Japan, and the United States.

High Satisfaction and Strong Visitor Engagement Exhibitor satisfaction reached 81%, while visitor satisfaction hit a record 94%. Visitors spent more time engaging with exhibitors, reflecting the quality and depth of interactions, particularly in the Carpets & Rugs section, which seamlessly integrated with Heimtextil’s broader offerings.

Patricia Urquiola’s Groundbreaking Textile Designs Designer Patricia Urquiola presented her ‘among-us’ installation, an immersive textile meeting space that showcased the future potential of textile-based solutions in architecture and interior design. The installation provided fresh insights into global design trends and how textiles can transform living spaces.

Heimtextil Trends 25/26: A Guide for the Industry The Heimtextil Trends 25/26, curated by Milan’s Alcova platform, provided crucial insights for the retail sector. The ‘Future Continuous’ theme explored new colors, materials, and production processes. The trend themes ‘Naturally Uneven’, ‘Radically Restructured’, and ‘Regenerative’ focused on sustainable, high-quality products that meet consumers’ growing ethical and ecological demands.

AI, Circularity, and Knowledge Exchange Heimtextil 2025 positioned itself as a global knowledge hub with over 140 lectures, workshops, and tours. The content program addressed AI-driven design, circular production processes, and sustainable business practices, offering the industry essential tools for adapting to market changes and gaining a competitive edge.

Looking Ahead to Heimtextil 2026 The next Heimtextil, taking place from 13-16 January 2026, will build upon the success of 2025, with Patricia Urquiola continuing to push boundaries in textile interior design.
