OEGSTGEEST, The Netherlands – July 31, 2020 – Today plans for a new Avery Dennison office in Schwelm were announced. This is where Avery Dennison customers can find sales advice, technical support and training opportunities. In addition, new laboratories for application technology will be set up.
The new branch is created after the former factory premises have been sold to the developer Hillwood Europe. Previously, Avery Dennison’s (Label and Graphic Materials) manufacturing facility was located here. Production at this location ended in 2019. Since then, Avery Dennison Label and Graphics Materials has been using it as an office location for sales and administration.
Oliver Guenther, Senior Director Marketing and Channel Strategy, Graphics Solutions Europe, Avery Dennison, said the site was only sold after carefully selecting the most suitable buyer. “Schwelm is an important resource for us and we have many long-standing customers in the region, as well as an extremely competent team. With the planned new building, which will be realized by Hillwood Europe, we will have modern office space for our colleagues in sales and administration.
There will also be an application technology laboratory and a training center there. Customers can deepen their knowledge there and get certified for vehicle and building wrapping projects.

Avery Dennison and Hillwood are currently in talks with the city of Schwelm to prepare the legal planning requirements and building applications. Hillwood plans to develop additional rental space at the location. In line with Hillwood’s core competence, the construction of modern, flexible commercial and industrial spaces is planned.
