ADD on Viscose Spun Yarn: NITMA pleads for speedy notification

President NITMA, Shri Sanjay Garg pleads for quick notification on ADD on Viscose Spun Yarn originating from Indonesia, Vietnam and China PR , as recommended by DGTR vide its notification dt.30.12.2020.

Shri Sanjay Garg further added that such cheap imports are also not in favor of Government’s “Make in India” initiative and acts as a big disincentive for the downstream industry from investment’s perspective, which restricts the growth and expansion of domestic industry.

Shri Garg also informed that representation on the above has already been sent to Ministry of Finance.

President NITMA, Shri Sanjay Garg, admired & congratulated the Hon’ble Finance Minister for promising union budget 2021 especially for textile & clothing sector .

As a closing remark, Shri Garg humbly appealed for expeditious issuance of notification for levying Anti-Dumping Duty on Viscose Spun Yarn originating in or exported from Indonesia, Vietnam & China PR and imported into India to save domestic industry from the cheap imports into the country as it had been causing considerable amount of injury to domestic manufacturers .
