Indo Count Industries Limited, a global leader in bed linen manufacturing, has taken a significant stride towards solidifying its position in the US market. The company has announced the acquisition of Fluvitex USA, Inc., a renowned pillow and quilt manufacturer based in Columbus, Ohio.
This strategic move is aimed at strengthening Indo Count’s Utility Bedding segment and expanding its product offerings in the North American market. Fluvitex’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and strategic location will enable Indo Count to efficiently distribute its products across the USA and Canada.
A Synergistic Partnership
By acquiring Fluvitex, Indo Count aims to leverage the company’s strong brand reputation, experienced team, and established distribution network. This acquisition, coupled with the recent acquisition of the Wamsutta brand, positions Indo Count as a major player in the global bedding industry.
Expanding the Product Portfolio
The integration of Fluvitex’s manufacturing capabilities will allow Indo Count to offer a wider range of products, including pillows, quilts, decorative pillows, and other fashion-forward items. This expanded product portfolio will cater to the diverse needs of the North American market.
A Strategic Investment
Indo Count has acquired an 81% stake in Fluvitex USA, Inc., with an option to purchase the remaining 19% stake within the next five years. The acquisition is being funded through internal accruals and debt.
