Indian sleep solutions provider Duroflex recently launched Duro Safe Mattress Protector, the country’s first anti-viral mattress protector powered by Swiss technology HeiQ Viroblock, which, the company claims, can kill 99.99 per cent virus and bacteria within minutes. The technology uses silver ions and vesicles to neutralise viruses on contact.
It has been tested on over 94 viruses and found to deactivate them within minutes. This protector is also fully waterproof, anti-dust mite, hypoallergenic and safe for skin, offering a hygienic solution to keep homes safe and protected, according to Indian media reports.
The HEIQ Viroblock technology has been tested according to ISO 18184 as a strong anti-viral and as per ISO 20743 as a strong anti-bacterial against viruses and bacteria. It is certified as safe and sustainable as all its ingredients are cosmetic grade, bio-based (72 per cent bio-based carbon) and recycled.
The product is also compliant with EU REACH and US FIFRA, certified by OEKOTEX® and homologised by bluesign. It is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for its anti-viral and anti-microbial surface.
The protector is available in four sizes: single, double, Queen and King.
