ASDC Partners’ Forum 2024: Driving Unity & Innovation

New Delhi, India –The ASDC Partners’ Forum was successfully held by the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) on July 12, 2024, at the Indian Habitat Center in New Delhi. Leaders in the industry, specialists, and interested parties gathered to talk about the future of the automobile industry at this important event. The theme for this year, “Collaborate, Empower, Accelerate, Achieve,” highlighted ASDC’s commitment to promoting empowerment and unity within the sector in order to achieve success as a whole.The important role that skill development plays in promoting industry success was highlighted by Dr. Neetu Bhagat, Deputy Director of AICTE; Dr. Suhas Deshmukh, Director of NCVET; and Dr. Rodney Reviere, Cluster Coordinator of GIZ India, who attended as guests of honor. Arindam Lahiri, CEO of ASDC, and Vice President Vinkesh Gulati also offered their opinions.

An important occasion for ASDC and the larger automotive sector is the ASDC Partners’ Forum. It offers an essential forum for tackling present issues, looking into prospects, and developing plans to progress the industry. This year’s topic is in line with ASDC’s continuous efforts to bring stakeholders together and encourage empowerment in order to spur significant growth and development. Our dedication is further demonstrated by our recent partnership with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to introduce the National Automobile Olympiad (NAO) 2024, for which over 850 schools have already registered.

The announcement that ASDC and BYD will be working together to start the annual BYD Innovate-a-thon competition was one of the forum’s highlights this year. Through the promotion of creativity, teamwork, innovation, sustainability, and excellence, this competition seeks to bring students from various academic backgrounds together in the Electric Vehicle Domain. BYD formally launched this effort at the ASDC Partners’ Forum with an MOU exchange and a presentation by Mr. Rajeev Chauhan and Ms. Shivani Chaudhary, who will represent BYD as spokespersons.

Every year, students from many disciplines in the Electric Vehicle Domain come together for the BYD and ASDC Innovate-a-thon, which promotes excellence, creativity, teamwork, and invention. There will be three rounds to the competition: the first two will take place online, and the last round will take place offline.
