Transforming Aviation and Energy Through Sustainability

Ranjit Kulkarni, Vice President & General Manager, Energy & Sustainability Solutions at Honeywell India, outlines innovative developments in the aviation industry that are meant to lower greenhouse gas emissions. “We at Honeywell will keep pushing innovation in a variety of industries to drastically cut greenhouse gas emissions and advance a more sustainable future.”

With an estimated 270 million metric tons of CO2e mitigation over the next ten years, Kulkarni describes how renewable fuel solutions will continue to be focused on turning low-value renewables (such as waste materials, biofeedstocks, and captured CO2) into high-value energy sources, setting aviation up for a sustainable future. According to additional estimates, efforts to achieve carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration (CCUS) will reduce 320 million metric tons of CO2e, preventing dangerous emissions from entering the atmosphere and resulting in a cleaner planet.

Cybersecurity: A Critical Pillar of Sustainable Strategies

Cybersecurity has become a crucial sustainability enabler as businesses embrace digital transformation. Vice-President of Customer Engineering at Cyberproof, a UST Company, Jaimon Thomas, emphasizes how crucial system security is to achieving net-zero objectives.
