Mumbai , 9th October 2023: Minotti, the Italian brand renowned as a global leader in the contemporary furniture design, consolidates its presence in India by announcing the opening of a new flagship store in Mumbai, the third mono brand store in the country, and the second one – after Ahmedabad – inaugurated in collaboration with local partner Design Italiano.

Located in Fort, a historic colonial-era district and today the commercial and artistic heart of the city, the new Minotti Mumbai flagship store spans an area of nearly 3700 square feet inside the iconic 1890 Kitab Mahal building.

Entering through an arched doorway, visitors are welcomed into an elegant, cosy setting, where the neoclassical style of the original architectural elements, such as the vaulted ceiling and iron columns, blends with the brand’s aesthetic codes, creating an exclusive and contemporary showroom atmosphere.

The interior design, conceived and created by Minotti Studio, the company’s in-house creative department, presents a masterful alternation of colours and sophisticated textural choices, in perfect harmony with the architectural context in which it is located. The exhibit space is finished with meticulous attention to detail, inviting visitors to discover the world of Minotti through a balanced play of contrasts: the concrete-effect ceramic flooring is complemented by the wengé-coloured oak of the ceiling and the wooden panelling, underlining the brand’s distinctive aesthetic language. The arches are decorated with mirrored and reflective surfaces that illuminate and enrich the location, creating a sense of depth and an interplay of perspectives. In addition, the succession of black and white columns marks the subtle boundary between the indoor and outdoor settings.

At Minotti Mumbai three living room islands add a dynamic feel to the space, presenting some of the brand’s best and latest furnishing pieces: the ConneryTwiggy and Dylan seating systems, the latter the protagonist of the 2023 Collection, all designed by Rodolfo Dordoni. The store also hosts two lounge areas with the Oliver table, accompanied by the Lars and Sendai seats by Inoda+Sveje, and the Torii Bold family of seats by Nendo. The outdoor area also features iconic elements such as the Florida seating system by Rodolfo Dordoni and the Bellagio Outdoor table by Gordon Guillaumier, in harmonious dialogue with the Lido Cord Outdoor seats designed by GamFratesi.

The store also presents two private areas for the development of interior design projects and a large meeting room on the first level, accessible from the concrete staircase and made independent from the rest of the layout by a full-height extra-clear glass window. Here, the leading piece of the space is the Linha table, accompanied by the Daiki Studio seats by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27.
