Hamburg, 2024-12-05. You are cordially invited by the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF) to attend The Good Cashmere Standard® (GCS) annual conference, which will take place in Hamburg’s historic Speicherstadt warehouse district on March 25 and 26, 2025. International experts, fashion brands, businesses, and scientists will gather at this event hosted by the independent sustainability standard to talk about the most recent advancements in sustainable cashmere manufacturing. The utilization of virtual reality, biodiversity, supply chain due diligence, and animal welfare will all be highlighted. The latter provides the chance to visit an Inner Mongolian GCS model farm.

The Good Cashmere Standard®, which was founded in 2019 by the Aid by Trade Foundation, has always been dedicated to clear traceability for casmere fibers in the textile supply chain and sustainable cashmere production. It focuses on the well-being of more than four million cashmere goats and the working conditions at more than 9,000 farms, making it one of the world’s top standards for sustainable cashmere.

The two-day conference, which is intended for representatives of fashion brands, cashmere producers, standards organizations, non-governmental organizations, textile companies, and other stakeholders, will provide insightful information about the latest trends and advancements in the cashmere industry. Additionally, it will offer a chance to network and learn more about the manufacture of sustainable cashmere.

The Aid by Trade Foundation’s founder, Prof. Dr. Michael Otto will launch the conference on Tuesday, March 25, and Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in Hamburg’s historic Speicherstadt warehouse neighborhood.
