The state government of Rajasthan has stopped the business-to-business textile and ready-made garment show, which used to draw up to 500 customers annually from both local and foreign markets. As a result, Rajasthani garment exporters feel forgotten.
It was one of the major trade shows that helped exporters of clothing discover new clients and open up new markets.
But, the state administration did not shown interest in running it when the Centre stopped giving financial support.
The event that began in 2012 and became into a significant industry gathering on the calendar was discontinued after 2017.
The inaugural event took place in 2012, and since then, the garment and textile industry in Rajasthan has grown by 20% annually, according to Zakir Hussain, president of Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan (GEAR). millions of dollars have been used to promote the event on a global scale. All of the government’s money expended over the years to promote Vastra will be wasted if it is not organised right away.
