GANNI, a fashion and lifestyle company, has partnered with Canopy, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting forests that are vital to the climate, marking a big step toward sustainability. As a result of this partnership, GANNI pledges to guarantee that none of the fibers used in its fabrics or paper packaging come from ancient or endangered forests.
As a new partner of CanopyStyle and Pack4Good, GANNI commits to removing sourcing from these vital ecosystems from its supply chains and encouraging low-carbon, circular substitutes such as packaging made from agricultural leftovers and recycled fabrics. GANNI, a B-Corp accredited business, is committed to eliminating negative social and environmental effects. The company wants to cut its absolute carbon emissions by 50% by 2027 compared to a baseline of 2021.
In a continuing attempt to become the most responsible version of ourselves, GANNI is excited to join the CanopyStyle and Pack4Good programs. The world’s most important forests are our responsibility, and we’re honored to work with Canopy to lead a supply chain revolution that will protect them,” said Lauren Bartley, Chief Sustainability Officer at GANNI.
“GANNI aligns itself with fashion’s most progressive players by joining the CanopyStyle and Pack4Good initiatives,” stated Nicole Rycroft, Founder and Executive Director of Canopy. By working together, we can expand Next Gen, low-impact solutions to protect forests and change the way the fashion industry affects the environment.
