In a significant move to enhance connectivity and stimulate development, the Yogi Adityanath government is set to construct a four-lane road linking Atari Village to PM Mitra Mega Textile and Apparel Park. This ambitious project, spanning approximately 1,100 acres in Atari village, Malihabad, aims to generate employment for around 100,000 young individuals, with an expected investment of over Rs 10,000 crores.

To ensure global competitiveness, the state government plans to equip the park with cutting-edge facilities, catering to all the requirements of textile industry traders under one roof. The manufacturers will have access to world-class infrastructure built according to export standards. Furthermore, a 14.280-kilometre four-lane road will be built from the outer ring road (Ratha underpass) to PM Mitra Park, and an 8.8-kilometre stretch from Ratha underpass to IIM will be widened at a cost of Rs 454.34 crore.

Notably, Atari village in Lucknow was selected due to its excellent connectivity with Lucknow, Sitapur, and Hardoi. The village boasts exceptional railway connectivity, with Malihabad Railway Station only 16 km away and Lucknow Railway Station located 40 km from the site. Additionally, the Lucknow International Airport is situated 45 km from Atari, while the dedicated freight corridor Kanpur node is at a distance of 95 km. The proposed park is also close to the Inland Container Depot, which is located 111 km away in Kanpur.

To facilitate the project, the development of the park will be carried out on a public-private partnership (PPP) basis. With an allocated budget of Rs 500 crores, the core infrastructure will be constructed, while Rs 300 crores has been set aside for manufacturing units. The construction of the park is divided into three sections: common infrastructure, social infrastructure, and premium space.

The common infrastructure will incorporate a well-structured road network, uninterrupted power supply, water supply, warehouse facilities, zero liquid discharge effluent treatment plant, training centres, administrative buildings, product displays, and testing laboratories, along with an exhibition centre. Moreover, the social infrastructure will include worker hostels, housing zones, medical facilities, commercial and recreational amenities, open spaces, parks, and security provisions. Lastly, the premium space will consist of industrial plots and fully equipped industrial sheds.

This remarkable initiative by the Yogi Adityanath government will not only promote the textile and apparel industry but also propel overall economic growth in the region. By streamlining trade and reducing costs for manufacturers, the park is expected to attract significant investment and contribute to the creation of a robust industrial ecosystem. The project is currently under inspection at the headquarters level after being sent to the Public Works Department in Lucknow by the Chief Engineer on November 2.
