MUMBAI TO HOST LARGEST B2B “MTMM FABRIC FAIR – 2022”

Ø  FABRIC FAIR  ORGANISED BY 143 YEARS OLD MUMBAI TEXTILE MERCHANT’S MAHAJAN WITH 180 STALLS

MUMBAI, 2ND JUNE, 2022: 143 year old Mumbai Textile Merchant’s Mahajan has organized Mumbai’s biggest B2B “MTMM FABRIC FAIR – 2022”  on 29th & 39th June, 2022 at Sapphire Banquet Hall, Hotel Sahara Star, Ville Parle (East), Mumbai. The Fair will have 180 stalls.

Siyaram Mills have provided 1500 square feet Meeting Lounge for Business Networking Session.

The stalls in the fair  will display wide range of fabrics for formals, casuals and ethnic, kids wear, uniform fabrics, shirting and suiting, dress materials, interlining, banarasi fabric, tencel, embroidered fabrics, hand dyed and dye able fabrics, women’s western wear fabrics, fancy jacquards, fancy duppattas, pure linen, lycra fabrics, kurti fabrics, imported fabrics etc. Besides, there will be a huge range of cotton fabrics, polyester fabrics, blended fabrics, pure silk, art silk fabrics and knitwear fabrics. Moreover, a wide range of fabric manufactured by composite mills, art silk mills, woolen mills, power loom sector, handloom sector will be on display, which will also include imported fabric.

The stall holders will carry out order booking of their merchandise but will not be permitted to make retail sales.

According to Sunil J. Majithia, Hon. Secretary of MTMM & Bhavesh Goradia, Convener of Fair Committee, the object of the Fabric Fair is to bring back the lost glory of the Mumbai cloth markets. In the ‘C’ ward itself, there are more than 12 cloth markets having more than 15,000  fabric traders.

This B2B Fabric Fair will remain open for all traders, garment manufacturers, retailers, fashion designers, buying houses, brokers, importers, export houses, tailors, fashion boutiques etc. The entry will be free of cost with mandatory registration.

For this 2 days exclusive trade fair, lot of outstation trade visitors are expected to visit the fair, with an anticipated footfall of more than 10,000 trade visitors.

Visitors Registration shall be carried out between 9.30am to 7.30pm, while Fair Timings will be 9.30am onwards,

The Fair Committee of Mumbai Textile Merchant’s Mahajan includes Sunil J. Majithia, Bhavesh H. Goradia, Divyesh M. Panchmatia, Anand Kothari, Anand Sarda & Nirav Mehta.

Asia’s oldest 152 years old Mulji Jetha Market (M.J. Market) is spread over 4.50 acres in C Ward, having more than 10,000 shop.

Kanubhai Narsana, President of Mumbai Textile Merchant’s Mahajan stated that the prices of fabric have increased by 35% to 40% in around last 4 months. In order to maintain reasonable prices of fabric, cotton – yarn export should be  banned, export of value added fabric, made ups and garment should be further encouraged, forward market trading of cotton should be stopped and steps should be taken against cotton yarn cartel.
