The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) has released the 43rd edition of its International Textile Machinery Shipment Statistics for 2020. The report focuses on six types of textile machinery: spinning, draw-texturing, weaving, large circular knitting, flat knitting, and finishing.

China, India, Uzbekistan, and Brazil all reduced their investment in open-end rotors by 30%. Asia and Oceania were the most popular markets for single heater draw-texturing spindles. The number of water-jet looms shipped fell by 21% to 61,483.

The ITMF estimates the number of shipped stenters that were not reported by survey participants to provide information on the global market size for that category. The stenter market is expected to be stable since 2019, with deliveries reaching 1731 units in 2020.
