The Tiruppur Exporters Association (TEA) is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to showcase the remarkable sustainability initiatives undertaken by garment exporters in the Tiruppur district at next year’s annual meeting of the Textile Exchange.

During the recent Exchange meeting held in London, some TEA office-bearers informally shared details about various sustainability practices with their fellow participants. The initiatives discussed included zero liquid discharge, renewable energy generation, water and resource recycling, and more.

The TEA had joined the Exchange just a few months ago, and this London meeting acted as a platform to educate the Exchange members about the impressive sustainability and environmental efforts being undertaken by garment exporters in Tirupur.

Enthusiasm is high within the association as they eagerly anticipate sharing these sustainability achievements in the upcoming session. The TEA’s participation aims to promote the impactful initiatives carried out by its members and inspire others within the textile industry to embrace sustainability, contributing to a greener and more responsible future.

The TEA firmly believes that the garment exporters in Tirupur are at the forefront of sustainable practices and look forward to reinforcing this reputation at the Textile Exchange meeting next year.
