Hon Minister, Shri Piyush Goyal Inaugurates ‘Brands of India’ Pavilion by CMAI at Bharat Tex 2024

New Delhi, February 27, 2024: Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Government of India, inaugurated the ‘Brands of India’ pavilion by Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) at Bharat Tex 2024. The Brands of India pavilion by CMAI is at Hall 12A, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from February 26 to 29, 2024.

Earlier in the day Bharat Tex 2024 was inaugurated by Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In his address at the inauguration ceremony, he emphasised the concept of Five Fs – Farm to Fiber, Fiber to Factory, Factory to Fashion, Fashion to Foreign which is binding all elements of the value chain to a single whole. In order to help the MSME sector he also mentioned the change in the definition of MSME to ensure continued benefits even after growth in size.

The primary aim of Bharat Tex is to display the prowess of the Indian Textile Industry, encompassing the entire spectrum from fibre production to retail. In alignment with this objective, the ‘Brands of India’ pavilion by CMAI is to apprise about the evolvement of Indian Apparel Brands who have built, sustained, and developed the Indian Domestic Retail Market to being one of the most sought after in the world.

At Bharat Tex, the Brands of India pavilion by CMAI is showcasing 100+ top Indian apparel brands that have set their mark within the domestic market. The pavilion is showcasing leading apparel brands like Arvind, Zodiac, Raymond, Killer, Fab India, Biba, Ancestry, Color Plus, Manyavar, Kora, Dollar, Macho, Lux, Monte Carlo, Pepe Jeans London, Octave Mettle, Mexico Jeans, Sin, Rupa, Siyaram’s, Oxemberg, J. Hampstead, Spykar, Westside, US Polo, CK, Tommy, Celio, Buffalo, Lee Cooper, Integriti, Lawman Pg3, Monte Bianco and many others.

Speaking about Brands of India, Rajesh Masand, President, Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), said, “We are honoured to have Shri Piyush Goyal ji inaugurate our Brands of India pavilion at the Bharat Tex 2024. The Indian Apparel industry is constantly changing, shaped by consumer behaviour, economic trends, social shifts, and technological progress. It adapts to meet consumer demands and addresses environmental and social issues. The Ministry of Textiles entrusted CMAI to present leading Indian apparel retail brands under one roof. We are excited about Bharat Tex and the promising future it holds for our dynamic industry.”
