Here’s some good news for retailers of ready-to-wear clothing in the state and its adjacent states. Soon, they will have the wonderful chance to peruse more than 150 booths showing the newest wedding, festival, and winter season attire.
On August 1–3, the Princess Shrine at Bangalore Palace Ground will play host to a three-day national-level textile fair organised by the South India textile Association (SIGA). The garment fair’s goal is to offer a venue for presenting more than 150 of the newest clothing brands. The garment fair will be officially opened by Labour Minister Santosh Lad, with Sandalwood actor Sharanya Shetty serving as the honorary guest.
According to rumours, the first clothing expo took place in 1996 at the Holiday Inn and had 60 attendees. Last year’s fashion show featured 100 firms and attracted 1288 visitors. 80 crore rupees’ worth of revenue was earned.
Anuragh Singhla, president of the South India Garments Association, stated that for the past 27 years, the SIGA has held an annual clothing expo. “This is the 28th garment expo, and the response from garment manufacturers has been excellent. All 150 of the stalls that we have set up were reserved a month ago. The garment fair is being attended by numerous garment manufacturers from Mumbai, Surat, Delhi, Jaipur, Bangalore, and Nagpur who are showing the newest collections of bridal, festival, and winter clothing.
