BLUE CAST by TENCEL™, a podcast series created on Carved in Blue by the TENCEL™ denim team sharing in-depth talks to the denim community at large, and the Fashion Impact Fund, a charitable fund supporting women change makers to accelerate the fashion industry’s transition to an ecosystem that values people and planet, have been working on a special edition four-part podcast series named ‘Circular Solutionist’ to raise the awareness of women’s involvement in driving systems change to practice the concept of 3Rs: reduce, reuse and recycle.
The series comes after the launch of Solutionist in March 2022 which supported the theme of Women’s History Month “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope”. Each week for the month of October, Circular Solutionist will spotlight the innovative solutions led by women advocating for a new paradigm in the fashion sector – one that leads towards a fair and resilient world. Circular Solutionist will feature women in the fashion and denim industry who are making an impact in forging a new path, those who are connecting their life’s work to planet, people and prosperity and giving us hope towards a positive change. The series will highlight Brittany Dickinson from Goodwill, Costanza Gomez from Sortile, Estefanía Angel Villanueva from Banqu and Nin Castle from Reverse Resources.
Tricia Carey, Director of Global Business Development, Lenzing shares: “The textile and fashion industry is poised for an evolution which is led by determined and curious leaders around the world. The women interviewed in the Circular Solutionist podcast represent the spirit and drive to impact circular solutions while keeping people in the center of this change. It was inspiring to speak with each person and learn their inner motivation.”
Kerry Bannigan, Executive Director, Fashion Impact Fund, adds: “Our continued partnership with BLUE CAST by TENCEL drives our mission to support content that centers the voices and amplifies the leadership of women transforming fashion for people and planet. The featured women in this series are committed to advancing fashion initiatives that re-imagine the future with solutions for a sustainable world.”
