UP Gets New Logistics Policy, A New Eco-Efficient Ecosystem Built

The new policy of logistics is helping in building an integrated, cost-efficient, flexible and sustainable ecosystem  in the sector. This will optimize the regulations and also separate the supply-side bottlenecks.

The Logistics policy was approved by the Uttar Pradesh government in December 2022. This will create a strong transport, better infrastructure network, upgradation and improving the existing warehousing the logistics infrastructure. The textile industry is facing a lot of challenges. The new policy which is introduced will be reducing the cost of logistics and it is very important for the industry to make policy efforts.

The cost of logistics is much lower as compared to Korea, Singapore and some European countries. The government wants to ensure the issues are reduced as much as possible. The reduction in the issues will increase the manifold, small- scale industries, flourishing of the industry  and the people working there.

The policy will help the   sector in being more integrated, cost-efficient, flexible and sustainable in logistics eco-system in India. By this, the regulations will be optimized and also separate the supply-side bottlenecks. According to Anupriya Patel, Union Minister of state for commerce and industry said, “The center and the Uttar Pradesh government are working as one unit”. Further it was said, “In accordance to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, the Uttar Pradesh government’s new warehousing and logistics policy will encourage the private sector. The private sector should take full advantage of this opportunity”.

Also, Noida has managed to emerge as the most-favoured investment destination followed by Agra and Lucknow, Siddhartnagar was the least preferred. The investment share alone was 27% for Noida alone.
