Recycled polyester firm EarthProtex, situated in Vancouver, has partnered with iTextiles to supply major Pakistani manufacturers and brands with their fiber. Through this relationship, the vast distribution network of iTextiles in the area is combined with the circular technology of EarthProtex.

Using a low-impact thermomechanical reactor process, EarthProtex’s textile-to-textile recycling technology, known as Tex2Tex, converts single-use plastics like PET bottles into recycled polyester staple fiber and filament. Compared to virgin polyester and recycled PET from bottles, Tex2Tex utilizes less energy, water, and carbon emissions, according to its life cycle evaluation.

iTextiles is a multidisciplinary provider of textile solutions, specializing in the introduction of novel textile solutions. It oversees the management of whole performance textile value chains. Additionally, it distributes Smart Linen, Eastman Naia, and Nature Coatings.

EarthProtex and iTextiles’ collaboration will first concentrate on denim, socks, circular knits, and warp knits. But Tex2Tex is also appropriate for other uses, such as home textiles, suiting, flannels, and shirting.
