A lineup of free lectures on sustainability, empowering and expanding workforces with technology, the next generation of technical designers, and other topics will be featured at Tech Talks. Visitors to the highly regarded Symposium have the chance to hear from business leaders and subject matter experts as they talk about some of the most important developments in science and technology.The employment and Training Centre is brand-new this year, and experts from the Gaston College Textile Technology Centre will be there to give useful materials about the industry’s employment prospects, networking advice, and much more. This space will be used as a meeting place. the ideal location for guests to create the ideal résumé, meet potential employers, and browse job openings listed by exhibiting firms. Participants will also have the chance to have a professional photographer capture their headshot.
A new training programme called “Training Takes Time” will also be introduced by SPESA in the Career and Training Centre to support manufacturing in the Americas. The Industrial Sewing and Innovation Centre (ISAIC) and Merrow Sewing Machine Company will launch this programme, which will concentrate on mechanic, operator, and facility owner training. The opportunity to learn from Merrow’s team of skilled technicians and teachers who have years of expertise in the business will be provided to participants. The course will include augmented reality tools along with practical examples. ISAIC to demonstrate how these training techniques can aid in industry scaling and promote expansion in the Americas.
This year marks the return of the Student Research Poster Programme. The programme draws students who are engaged in textile innovation and research at the undergraduate and graduate levels by showcasing the most recent scientific advancements in sewn product design and production.
The Innovation Awards, which seek to recognise exceptional achievement in the areas of research, new materials, products, and technologies, are also brand-new this year. Visitors can browse the exhibit hall at Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas to view these technologies on display and discover how these exhibitors are advancing thought leadership and favourably impacting the industry.

The official Texprocess Americas and Techtextil North America Opening Reception, hosted by SPESA and Messe Frankfurt, will take place on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Delta Sky360° Club at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The ultimate fan experience includes a tour of the stadium that includes the field, owner’s suite and locker room, as well as an entertaining evening of entertainment, food and an open bar.
