2nd EDITION OF CMAI’S BRAND OF INDIA TO RAISE SENTIMENT IN THE MARKET

CMAI hosts a successful roadshow in Mumbai with participation of more than 50 Apparel manufacturers from Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Goa

–    More road shows being planned in manufacturing hubs like Surat, Jaipur, Noida and Tirupur

Mumbai, August 12, 2024: The primary goal of the event was to encourage members to participate in the second solo trade show, BRANDS OF INDIA, which will take place in the Dubai World Trade Center in the United Arab Emirates on November 12–14, 2024. The Ministry of Textiles, the Government of India, the Embassy of India in the United Arab Emirates, Textile Merchants Group Dubai (Texmas), and the Readymade Garments Merchants Group Dubai (RGM Group) are supporting the exhibition.

The event is expected to be another amazing display of more than 150 of the finest Indian clothing labels for men, women, and children in casual, ethnic, and western formal wear categories. thereby offering retailers, chain and department stores, wholesalers, agents, distributors, franchisees, importers, traders, e-commerce platforms, and buying houses, mostly from the MENA area and around the world, a once-in-a-lifetime sourcing opportunity.

Speaking at the road show, Rajesh Masand, President of CMAI, stated: “By showcasing the newest fashion collections for the 1.34 crore Indian diaspora in the MENA region, the show is being organized for Indian apparel manufacturers who aspire to take their brand global, generate leads, make new connections, secure partnerships, drive sales, transform & grow business, and enhance bottom line.” The Uttar Pradesh government recently approved the upcoming edition under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative, offering participants from Noida, Greater Noida, and Gautam Budha Nagar a subsidy of up to 75% toward stall charges, airfare, and freight charges. This is encouraging manufacturers to increase their exports.

Over the next three months, a comprehensive marketing and promotional plan will be implemented, including a tailored invitation to buyers, targeted social media promotion to over 700 million international followers on popular platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, and Twitter, and a publicity and public relations campaign in e-portals and trade magazines. Additionally, Naveen Sainani, Hon. Jt. General Secretary, CMAI, announced Outdoor Advertising at key places throughout Dubai during a thorough and in-depth presentation at the occasion.

Some profile-raising aspects being undertaken by CMAI next month will include a series of overseas road shows and door-to-door visits in the lucrative GCC markets of Saudi Arabia – Jeddah & Riyadh, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and UAE – Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Sharjah. Moreover, new features like a uni-directional floor plan; Business Networking session with select Corporate Buyers; one-on-one Meetings on the basis of sourcing needs; Interpreter facility for Buying Groups; Allocation of prominent space within the show for select Agents, Distributors and Buying Houses were also announced.

The road show was attended by more than 50 interested manufacturers from Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Goa wherein 8 companies signed-up on the spot confirming participation taking the total Participants to 86 companies till now. Similar road shows are also being planned in other manufacturing hubs like Surat, Jaipur, Noida and Tirupur.
