Fong’s Europe will highlight the THEN Supratec LTM, a dyeing machine widely utilised in the industry for handling delicate high elastic and delicate crease mark-sensitive synthetic fabrics, at ITMA 2023 in Milan from June 8–14.
The THEN Supratec LTM is shaped like a long tube, and it uses a Flexkier lifting system and winchless fabric transport to achieve efficient and high-quality dyeing results while using the least amount of water and energy possible—from 1:15 to just 1:4.
It offers an exceptional low liquor ratio solution for long tube machines by utilising a number of cutting-edge patented technologies, such as a dry and wet mode by programable kier slope change during the operation.
The device can be sent specifically configured with one for complete filling with respectable quick turn times, or two nozzles. This shortens the processing time while also lowering the amount of water and energy required for the dying process.
The Supratec LTM operates at very low tension due to the incredibly low lifting height between the variable nozzle and the plaited fabric, and is suitable for the treatment of both woven and knitted fabrics ranging from the most delicate articles to medium-weight materials within the weight range of 25 grammes per linear metre (g/lm) to 600 g/lm.

When heat-setting is avoided, the material handles better, costs are reduced, and the lengthwise elongation of the treated fabric is lower than on winch-driven machines. Every kier depending on the fabric being treated, has a capacity of up to 200 kg and operates at speeds of 80 to 600 metres per minute.
In addition, the Supratec has a number of measures that protect the operator’s safety and the integrity of the fabric being dyed. There are sensors for measuring temperature, pressure, and pH levels as well as automatic dosing systems for chemicals and dyes.
