Zoetis Expands Hyderabad Capability Center

Investment strengthens the company’s technology innovation and brings hundreds of jobs to local community

 Hyderabad, September 10, 2024Zoetis Inc. The top animal health firm in the world, (NYSE: ZTS), stated today that its India Capability Center in Hyderabad has undergone a substantial expansion. This action is a critical step toward using cutting-edge technologies to improve animal healthcare globally.

The Hon’ble Minister for IT, E&C, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana, was present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which demonstrated Zoetis’ dedication to promoting animal health innovation and supporting the rapidly growing veterinary industry in India. By the end of 2025, the expanded facility is expected to provide several hundred new high-skilled jobs.

This investment not only puts our state at the forefront of the global healthcare revolution and establishes it as the One-Health destination, but it also generates jobs. I’m eager to see how they will use our local knowledge to advance veterinary care advancements globally, and we’ll do everything in our power to help them expand from this vibrant city.

The facility highlights Zoetis’ leadership in the sector and its understanding of India’s crucial role in the global veterinary landscape as the leading global capability center devoted to animal health in India. Over the next five to ten years, the global animal health industry is expected to increase at a rate of 4-6%. The global need for animal protein, growing pet ownership, and the growing medicalization of companion animals are the main factors driving this growth.

As the market leader in animal health, Zoetis has more research and development investment than any other firm. Over the past few years, the company has steadily expanded this investment, bringing its total to $613 million. This investment supports the company’s emphasis on innovation driven by research, which has resulted in the development and expansion of new markets.
