Hyosung’s Fashion Design Centre (FDC), an interactive fashion studio that spans the U.S., Europe, and Asia surveying progressive brands & retailers researching consumer insights, has released its forecasted SS 2025 Textile Trend report provides a vision of the key materials major apparel brands will be incorporating into their collection next year. This is done in order to continuously deliver creative innovation and sustainable textile solutions across the entire value chain.

Regenerative Life, FDC’s overarching textile trend for SS 2025, reflects an upbeat and optimistic outlook that prioritises the health of both oneself and the earth. Gary Oh, Team/General Manager, Hyosung FDC, claims that consumers are looking for durable, multi-purpose clothing manufactured with eco-friendly materials from brands they can feel good about supporting.

In light of this realisation, FDC has divided Regenerative Life into the three topics below, where it suggests using sustainable creora® spandex, performance nylon, and polyester yarns in garment applications.

Active Essentials: Basic features like cooling and comfort stretch, which today’s consumers expect from performance activewear, are increasingly crucial for street and fashion gear. FDC demonstrates how these performance elements can be integrated into eye-catching clothes using eco-friendly, functional materials in this category’s Not-so Basic Basics, Next Level Comfort, Vacation Bound, and All-Ready Active sub-trends.Great Escape: This topic focuses on outdoor fabrics oriented at consumers who seek physical and mental wellness by escaping in nature, regardless of the circumstances that are hurled at them. Its four sub-trends are Protective, Nature Gym, Outdoor Fitness, and Outdoor Living. Simple, universal layering, and leisure travel.

Health Care Strategy: Previously thought of just a temporary stress-reduction measure, rest is now seen as a sustainable long-term plan for a happy existence. In its Travel-Ready Essentials, Comfort Everyday, Feel-Good Texture, and New Femininity sub-trends, Wellness Strategy discusses comfort fabrics for loungewear and intimate apparel.

According to Oh, “for SS 2025, we anticipate textile trends focusing on materials that enable consumers to feel their best physically and emotionally.” It’s a very exciting period for textile innovation, and our team enjoys coming up with original solutions that meet the needs of our network of international partners.

Fabrics and concept clothing by Hyosung featuring yarns suggested in the SS 2025 Textile Trend Study will be on display at Outdoor Retailer Salt Lake City, June 19–21; Future Fabric Expo London, June 26–28; Interfilière Paris, July 4–7; Functional Fabric Fair NYC, July 18–19; Preview in Seoul, August 23–25; and Intertextile Shanghai, August 28–30 are the trade exhibitions that will be taking place this summer.
