Due to the prompt reaction from the State government, Kerala-based textile producer Kitex Group, which had originally intended to invest Rs 1,000 crore, has now declared a total investment of Rs 3,000 crore in Telangana. According to Kitex Group Chairman and Managing Director Sabu Jacob during the CII Annual Session, it will create 28,000 jobs, with 80% of them going to local women. The business is setting manufacturing units at Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal and at Sita Rampur.
