With a dedicated adhesive centre in China, the adhesive maker Jowat further strengthens its position in the Asia-Pacific region.
Jowat SE from Detmold established Jowat China Adhesives Co. Ltd. in the summer of 2022 as a 100% subsidiary with two strategic goals in mind: becoming closer to the client and enhancing its competitive position on the largest market in the world. The company has just placed the foundation stone for a new production facility in Pinghu City, Jiaxing, in the Chinese province of Zhejiang. On the 17,300 square metre property, Jowat is also constructing a cutting-edge research and development facility in addition to a manufacturing and storage facility.
The Asian market is becoming more crucial to the company’s operations. Today, that region already contributes more than 10% of the manufacturer’s overall revenue. Jowat in order to service the significant market even more successfully in the future, particularly in the high-volume areas with intense competition, is currently optimising its manufacturing network and supply chains.
