Industrial textile exports from the nation also recovered from the COVID-19 disruption in 2022 to reach $2.235 billion.

Industrial textile imports into the US rose to $3.095 billion in 2022 from $2.941 billion in 2021, which was more than the shipping of industrial textile imports into the US worth $2.302 billion in 2020. Industrial textile imports into the nation totaled $2.571 billion in 2017 and $2.752 billion in 2018. According to TexPro, a market analysis tool from Fibre2Fashion, it decreased to $2.616 billion in 2019 and $2.302 billion in 2020.

The The value of US industrial textile exports fell from $2.150 billion in 2019 to $1.891 billion in 2020. However by 2021, the trade had somewhat rebounded, reaching $2.089 billion. In 2022, it reached $2.235 billion and surpassing the amount in 2019. In 2018 and 2017, the nation exported industrial textiles for $2.337 billion and $2.292 billion, respectively. According to TexPro, the US imported 13.88% of its total industrial textiles from China in 2022, 12.57% from Mexico, 11.58% from Canada, 9.27% from Vietnam, and 6.98% from India.

Mexico received 50.38 percent of the nation’s total industrial textile exports, followed by Canada with 16.34 percent, China with 4.45 percent, Germany with 3.21 percent, and Mexico with 2.04 percent. cent to Japan during the past 12 months.
