Mega Textile Park Will Be Set Up Near Lucknow

A massive textile park will soon be built on 1,161 acres in the Lucknow district’s Attari village, which is part of the Malihabad tehsil.

The projected Sant Kabir PM Mitra Textile and Apparel Park will be known as such, a state government spokeswoman said. The source stated that the government wants to turn it into a centre for the state’s 15 districts’ textile industry and other endeavours.

Together with its proximity to Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport, the connectivity with the Lucknow-Hardoi route will be advantageous. The park will house booths for tchikankari, zari zardozi works from Lucknow, handloom items from Hardoi and Barabanki, carpet from Sitapur, and unique items from the districts of Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, and Rampur. Collection of handloom and textiles from Mau, The building would also house Gautam Buddha Nagar and Varanasi, the spokesman stated.

The giant textile park’s water availability and solid waste management have already been evaluated by the Uttar Pradesh government. He noted that the region has ample water resources and that Shivri village, which is close to Mohan Road, has a waste-to-energy facility.
