WoodenStreet, an online furniture retailer, opens its first store in Shimla in Himachal Pradesh.

India’s Leading Furniture E-commerce Brand, WoodenStreet, enters in Himachal Pradesh with the launch of its first store in Shimla. With entering the state, the company has planned for an aggressive spread in Himachal Pradesh, under its expansion drive of Tier-2 & Tier-3 cities.

The new studio, launched in the capital of Himachal Pradesh, is situated at one of the prime locations at Amber Ville, in Shimla (Chandigarh-Shimla Highway), spanning across a carpet area of 3000 Sq. Ft. With this store, Woodenstreet’s offline stores footprint currently spans across 90+ experience stores, including all the major cities of the country.

Speaking about the launch, Lokendra Singh Ranawat, CEO, WoodenStreet says, “The very reason behind entering into Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) is to create a strong connection with the people living there. Their love for luxury and traditional furniture is deep rooted. And, we want to give Shimlaites a one-of-a-kind experience through the premium quality of furniture that we offer.”

“Making a huge leap post-pandemic, these cities (targeting Tier-2 & Tier-3) show a tremendous scope of the aesthetically pleasing, practical and functional designs in furniture & decor and are going to be the next hub for this industry.”, he added further.

The newly launched offers customers a first-hand experience with an exclusive catalogue of home furniture and decor products. The studio at Shimla aims at providing a personalized shopping experience, catering to the unique needs of Shimlaites.

In addition, WoodenStreet has a massive delivery hub in Chandigarh and being near to Shimla, the company will be able to serve a huge range of furniture & decor products, and people can expect fast deliveries in the city.

WoodenStreet, in October this year announced that it will be investing close to $20 million (around Rs 200 Cr) to fuel its growth across the country. Following that, adding the investment will help generate over 3,000 job opportunities, including frontline workers.

Founded in 2015, the company has raised $30 million in Series-B funding led by Westbridge capital in April this year.  Besides an established online presence, the company stands firm in terms of its physical presence. Currently, the brand operates 90+ brick-and-mortars across India and has more than 350+ delivery hubs, delivering a range of over 30k+ home furniture, décor and home furnishing products.
